Echo-

Alexa ECHO is the very first device launched by Amazon Alexa Series. With the Tower shape looks and built in speakers it is favorite. The version that started and further expanded it all is Amazon Echo. As recently got updated with new Amazon Echo with surprisingly decrease of price by 100 bucks & a better speaker system, improved far-field technology with much-refined design that is an additional home furnishing. Spending some more bucks one can add a fine speaker to your Alexa assistant for you.

Echo has built-in 0.6″ tweeter & 2.5″ speaker that is a much better option than Dot’s 0.6″speaker only if you want all in one package.

Still, you can add external speakers or Bluetooth speakers to Echo. Fully powered by Alexa this version doesn’t have any screen or camera specializations though it can be integrated with all smart home devices & gives you free Alexa calling.

Provided with for 3.5 mm audio input & cannot be used as wirelessly.

Echo (2nd generation) cost $99.99 with most Alexa features for a decent price.

Don’t buy this if you want to access Alexa’s screen skills.

 

Amazon Tap-

Alexa Tap is a smart portable speaker in the Amazon Alexa series which offers more portable battery operated form. All Echo devices need a persistent power source to function, whereas Amazon Tap is the one device that doesn’t.

It’s a portable version of the Echo, providing Dolby-quality sound even when you are on move. It can be charged like any other mobile device and gives you battery back for 9 hours approx. without hands-free mode (Hands-free enables Alexa all the time when connected to Wi-Fi).

If you are a sound quality fan with quite a roaming routine than Tap’s sound with (dual passive radiators, dual 1.5″ drivers & Dolby audio) will definitely make you happy. It also has full Alexa access. It comes without screen & camera features unlike any higher models and doesn’t give you free calling with Alexa. The tap can be integrated with smart homes and has 3.5mm audio jack for external audio.

Amazon Tap is the best choice if you want a portable speaker that also has Alexa built-in but it is not for users those wish to have free Alexa calling. It normally costs around $130 but tries buying during any festival season or mega sale offers, If lucky it will be around 100 bucks on sale offers.

 

Echo Dot-

Echo Dot cost $49.99 which is a good choice if you want Amazon Alexa & don’t want to spend a lot, don’t buy you want a high-quality speaker.

Among all other Echo devices, Echo Dot surely has two advantages which are price & size. With almost a size of carrom striker, it gives you access to Alexa’s almost more than 20,000 skills with Amazon’s all features for its virtual assistant.

As being limited package it doesn’t include any screen or camera specifications. Dot gives you free calling with Alexa & can be integrated with all Smart-home devices includes 3.5mm audio jack for external audio speakers.

It also connects to Bluetooth speakers. Dot need a power outlet and can be used as a portable device.

 

Echo Plus-

Echo Plus is somewhat like original Echo as per looks, but coming in $150 its is newly featured with built-in Zigbee smart home hub. During smart home device integration, you connect to a bridge or hub of every smart device separately further connection to Echo.

With Echo Plus no need of different hubs or bridges because Echo Plus has All in one compatible smart home devices Hub controlling and pairing all your house at on place. Also, powered by Amazon Alexa this version doesn’t have any screen or camera specializations though it can be integrated with all smart home devices & gives you free Alexa calling.

Provided with for 3.5 mm audio input & cannot be used as wirelessly. Buy this if you’re eager to build a smart home with many Zigbee-compatible devices, Don’t buy this if the smart home devices you have or want don’t use Zigbee protocol.

 

Echo Show-

Echo Show is the first Amazon Alexa device with a display. It is the top & most expensive version of Echo family. The show has a 7-inch, a touchscreen with 1024×600 resolution.

It’s 5MP camera/screen clarity & speakers are optimal choices allowing you to manage all activities under on device, like listening to music, watching prime videos, calendar appointments or video calling.

Echo Show has dual 2″ stereo speakers those are the best option for a smart screen, only if you want all in one package.

Still, you can add external speakers or Bluetooth speakers to Show’s 3.5 mm audio plugin. Fully powered by Amazon Alexa this version does have screen & camera as main features, though it can be integrated with all smart home devices & gives you free Alexa calling.

The only drawback is it cannot be used wirelessly. Its price keeps on varying from $160-$230 depending upon pricing discounts labels on Amazon Alexa. It’s an ideal device for if you video chat with friends and family a lot and weigh visual more than audio features. Go for another lower version if you only want the basic features of Amazon Alexa.
