A New Update for Amazon Echo as an Intercom

For its Echo products, Amazon has a new software update that enables users with multiple Echos to use it as a room-to-room intercom system. Over the next few days, the new feature will roll out and be available for the Echo, Echo Dot, and Echo Show.

Users will be able to identify and communicate directly with a specific Echo device using the intercom features. Use an Echo in your kitchen to call family members from the living room, for example, or let someone in an office know they’ve got a guest from the front door.
